TN XI thumps Bhopal XI

Mumbai: Tamil Nadu XI clicked after the interval thumping four goals in 21 minutes against Bhopal XI in the quarterfinal league of the 45th all-India Bombay Gold Cup hockey tournament at the Mahindra Stadium here on Friday. Bhopal XI pulled one back in the 67th minute.

In another match A.K. Bhatti struck two minutes from time to steer EME, Jalandhar, to a 3-2 victory over Army Green. Trailing 1-2 in the 46th minute, EME levelled scores in the 57th minute before Bhatti converted a penalty corner.
