IMPHAL:
Schoolchildren and tribal women are continuing sit-in protests in Senapati district and others parts of Manipur against the murder of two boys, whose skeletal remains were recovered on March 27.
A protest rally was held in Ukhrul district on Tuesday. Various organisations have condemned the merciless killings though the parents of the 10-year-olds had already paid a ransom.
Meanwhile, Vieno Solomon and some leaders of the core committee which is demanding punishment to the alleged killers, now in the custody of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (IM), returned to Senapati from Hebron in Nagaland, administrative headquarters of the outfit.
The NSCN(IM) leaders have assured the core committee that their inquiry will be completed in seven days.
The core committee has agreed to allow last rites to the skeletal remains of Moheni Martin and Hrini Hubert, kept in a police station, on Wednesday.
