TTDC gets seven luxury coaches

CHENNAI:
As part of its efforts to improve amenities for tourists and upgrade package tours, the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) has acquired 7 luxury coaches.
Tourism Minister N. Suresh Rajan told reporters that the new coaches were purchased at a cost of Rs.133 lakh. The TTDC had replaced 11 coaches at a cost of Rs.232 lakh during 2006-07. Presently, it has a fleet of 21 vehicles. Mr. Rajan said there was good response to the recently introduced package tour between Chennai and Tirupathi being operated from Monday to Friday.
