PATNA : Union Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh on Sunday accused Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of being vindictive against his rivals and indulging in witch-hunting at the cost of the State and its people. Talking to reporters, Mr. Singh criticised the filing of a petition in the Patna High Court by the State Government challenging the acquittal of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and his wife and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi by the trial court in a disproportionate assets case. He hoped that Mr. Kumar would withdraw his petition. Advocate General P.K. Shahi was issuing statements against the CBI for its stand on the case, when his job was only to advise the State Government on legal matters, he pointed out.
