Mr. Chandra offered two `kanals' of land for construction of a madrasa and Mr. Ibrahim accepted it. The land was demarcated and it would be treated as separate from the 12 kanals still under dispute. Earlier, Mr. Chandra alleged that at the behest of Mr. Ibrahim, a religious leader erected temporary structures on the land to start a madrasa. He filed a complaint and the police tried to remove the structures on Thursday. This led to violence. The condition of Mohammad Arif, who was injured in the violence, was stated to be out of danger. Deputy Superintendent of Police Jugal Manhas described as false reports that members of a community were migrating.
