CHENNAI : Actor and producer Pazhanisamy died of cardiac arrest at his residence here on Monday. He was 59.

Pazhanisamy was a close friend of actor-director Bhagyaraj. He has acted in some films directed by Bhagyaraj, including "Indru Poi Nalai Vaa", "Chinna Vedu." He produced three films: "Ayutha Pojai", "Deena" and "Attagasam".

He is survived by a son. His body was taken to Coimbatore for cremation.

In Chennai, Bhagyaraj, Srikanth Deva and other film industry people paid their last respects.
