Bayer Group invites entries for the Second Eco-Minds Youth Forum


  • Contest open to college, university students aged between 18 and 24 years
  • Students will have to write an essay on `A Sustainable River Basin'

    CHENNAI: The Bayer Group in India has invited entries for the Second Eco-Minds Youth Forum for sustainable development to be held at Bangkok, Thailand from May 31 to June 3.

    The Bayer Eco-Minds programme aims to foster awareness of environmental issues among the youth in the Asia-Pacific region by providing opportunities for cross-cultural activities. It brings together young scientists, engineers and management experts from different countries. The contest is open to college and university students aged between 18 and 24 years from fields including natural sciences, engineering, commerce, science and management.

    Delegates from countries such as Thailand, New Zealand, India and China are expected to participate. Candidates actively involved in activities pertaining to environmental protection and sustainable development may apply. Students will have to write an essay of 1,000 words on `A Sustainable River Basin'. They must suggest ways to sustain a river basin and discuss an individual's contribution to make a difference towards the cause.
