VIJAYAWADA : The city police may have to wait for two more days to unravel the mystery of the killing of two children in a flat in Sri Lakshmi Apartments in Central Excise colony, as the mother of the victims, Narmada, was unable to speak even on Thursday. She is undergoing treatment in a private hospital near police control room, where the police tried to speak to her in the intensive care unit in the evening. "She responded when her name was called. But, she is not in a position to speak. The doctors told us wait for a couple of days," said Y. Jagannadha Rao, inspector of Machavaram police station. He said the police were working on some clues to nab Narmada's husband Ramdas Deendayal Prasad, who is accused of killing his son and daughter.
Seized
The city police seized the unit of Aiswarya Foods Private Limited in Kondapalli industrial estate late on Wednesday, following complaints that over 1,100 children fell ill in Yanam after eating the bread made in this unit. The Yanam police arrested managing director of the firm Rajeswara Rao on Thursday.
