Power shutdown

CHENNAI: Power supply will be suspended in parts of Ambattur T.I. Cycle area on Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for maintenance work.

`Pipe laying will be speeded up'

Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board has said that action is being taken to speed up the pipe laying work in Demellows Road in Choolai. Police department was requested to take suitable action to curtail haphazard parking of vehicles on this road to minimise the hardship faced by the public.

Reunion

Medical camp

Seminar on VAT

Award for professor

An award for excellence in aerospace education was presented to Job Kurian of IIT-Madras. The award is in recognition of Professor Kurian's teaching, research and development and research guidance. He has been interacting with space and defence agencies on a number of technical issues and supervised many Ph.D dissertations; has authored about 100 research publications. Kerala Governor R. L. Bhatia presented the award at the 58th annual general body meeting of the Aeronautical Society of India recently, a release said.
