Staff Reporter
NALGONDA: Nomula Narasimhaiah, floor leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in the Assembly, has dubbed the State budget "anti-poor as well as anti-farmer." Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, he said that the budget did not come to the rescue of the farming community. "The recommendations of the Jayati Ghosh Commission have been ignored. The priority given to irrigation projects is lopsided," Mr. Narasimhaiah said. He added that MLAs of all political parities in Nalgonda would meet the Chief Minister soon to bring to his notice the "gross injustice meted out in the allocation of funds in the budget."
