Award for Defence Security Corps Platoon

TIRUCHI : The 897 Defence Security Corps (DSC) Platoon attached to the Heavy Alloy Penetrator Project, Tiruchi has been adjudged as the best DSC Platoon for 2006 amongst all the DSC platoons in the jurisdiction of Andhra Tamil Nadu Karnataka and Kerala Area (ATNK & K) spread over four southern States.

The Area Commander's Rolling Trophy will be presented by the Area Commander, ATNK& K to the Platoon at a function to be held in Chennai on February 27.

The award would be given to the Platoon for being the best in interior, economy, State of Guard Posts, discipline, documentation, training, security consciousness and participation in sports at various level, a press release from Colonel J.J. Kattady, Security Officer, HAPP, Tiruchi, here said.
