Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Dog squad and personnel of anti-sabotage team on Thursday went into a tizzy after the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation office received a call informing that a bomb has been placed in the City Railway Station.

The threat later turned out to be a hoax.

According to sources, an employee at the BMRC office located at Wilson Gardens received the call around 8.50 p.m. stating that bomb has been placed in the City railway station, soon after which dog squads were rushed to railway station as well as the BMRC office.

The police along with the Railway Protection Force personnel searched the outgoing trains, including Tutricorn Express, Coimbatore Express, Ajmer Express and others and found the call to be hoax.
