KOCHI: Transformers and Electricals Kerala Limited (TELK) has targeted a total production target of Rs.130 crore during the current financial year. During the last financial year, the company had sold products estimated at nearly Rs.109 crore. Till November this year, TELK sold equipment totalling Rs.62.67 crore, said a press release from the District Information Office here. The company also exported equipment totalling Rs.10 crore. The press release quoted the General Manager of TELK as saying that the company was equipped to meet orders from the Railways, oil refineries, electricity boards and steel plants. So far TELK has taken up 31 transmission projects. Among them are the Thirumala project (110 kv), Varappuzha project (33 kv) and Kallambalam project (33 kv) of the Kerala State Electricity Board and a 110 kv project at Aluva for the Kerala Water Authority. The State Government was working towards building cooperation between TELK and the National Thermal Power Corporation so that the company's activities could be expanded, the release said.
