Refreshing

Congratulations to the Indian team for winning the ODI series against the West Indies. The victory has come as a sweet revenge after losing the series in the West Indies. While it was heart-warming to see Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid regain form, the picks were easily Dinesh Karthik and Robin Uthappa.

Team effort

India's win at Vadodara against the West Indies can be best described as a team effort. Sachin Tendulkar's century was good but India was already on a healthy score when he came in. Rahul Dravid's effort was noteworthy and then can we forget that wonderful innings of M.S. Dhoni?

Classic batsman

The ODI cricket match at Chepauk was thrilling. The classic batting of Robin Uthappa was a joyful sight. Just 21 years, he is sure to bring laurels to the nation in the seasons to come. Nonetheless, the experienced Brian Lara and the flamboyant Marlon Samuels ensured that West Indies emerged victor.

Judicious

It was a judicious decision on Sri Lanka Cricket Board's part not to send Muttiah Muralitharan and Chaminda Vaas for the ODI series against India. With the World Cup so near, it is wise to rest the main players.
