Cuttack : Fine half-centuries by Niranjan Behera (69) and Rashmi Ranjan Das (55) enabled Orissa to post 276 for seven on day one of its five-day Ranji Trophy Plate group final against Himachal Pradesh here on Sunday. Electing to bat, the host, appeared to be in trouble when it slumped to 176 for five just after tea, but a 87-run sixth wicket partnership between Rashmi and wicketkeeper Haladhar Das (31) revived the innings. The scores: Orissa 276 for seven (Shiv Sundar Das 42, Niranjan Behera 69, Rashmi Ranjan Das 55, Vishal Bhatia four for 80) vs. Himachal Pradesh. — PTI
