Bangalore: Salwan Boys High School (Delhi) emerged champions in the Himalaya Champions Trophy under-15 cricket tournament that concluded at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Saturday. In the final, Salwan defeated St. Andrew's HS (Hyderabad) by eight wickets. St. Andrew's HS mustered only 96 as Man of the Final Sandeep Vicky scalped four wickets conceding six runs. Salwan scored the required runs in 21.4 overs. The scores: Final: St. Andrew's HS (Hyderabad) 96 in 35.2 overs (Sandeep Vicky four for six) lost to Salwan BHS (Delhi) 97 for two in 21.4 overs (Rajiv Bose 41 not out). Special awards: Best fielder: Siddarth Sharma (Salwan BHS); Best wicketkeeper: Sharat Mudiraj (St. Andrew's HS); Best bowler: Himanshu Prashar (Salwan BHS); Best batsman: Naveen (St. Andrew's HS); Man of the Series: Sandeep Vicky (Salwan BHS).
