Bank branch shifted

CHENNAI: The Allahabad Bank has shifted its Mylapore branch to new premises at Arul Plaza, 75/1, P.S. Sivasamy Salai, Mylapore, on Thursday. N.K. Raghupathy, Chairman, Tuticorin Port Trust inaugurated it.

Credit camp

H.A. Daruwalla, Chairperson and Managing Director, Central Bank of India will visit the city on Friday to participate in a `credit camp' where she will distribute loans worth Rs.75 lakh to retail customers including industries, individuals, SSIs and self-help groups, on behalf of all the city branches. Ms. Daruwalla was recently adjudged Women Achiever 2007 by the Cancer Patients Aid Association, Mumbai for her personal contribution to the cause as well as for corporate social responsibility.

Patriotic song competition

The Rotary Club of Madras, Temple City will be organising the 16th Annual patriotic song competition for schools in Chennai on Republic Day, which falls on next Friday, at Asan Memorial School, Egmore. National convention on human resources

The Indian Society for Training and Development will be organising its 37th National Convention in the city on Friday and Saturday on `Unprecedented Results by Design - The HR Value Add.'
