Mobile health unit launched in agency

Training centre for tribals planned

VISAKHAPATNAM: District immunisation officer J. Sarojini flagged off a mobile health unit of the Jindal South-West Foundation at Ananthagiri on Monday.

This will cater to the needs of tribals in Ananthagiri mandal.

She advised the management of JSW Aluminium Limited to extend medical services and health education to tribes in coordination with government doctors in the agency area.

Company project head R.C. Swain said the unit was planning to inaugurate a vocational training centre for the tribal youth at Arakku shortly.

Among others, company vice-president Rajesh Gupta, Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation project officer D. Radha Krishna and mobile health unit medical officer V. Venkateswarlu participated.
