KOLKATA : Holder Railways and last year's runner-up Kerala confirmed their quarterfinal berths winning respective matches in the third day of the group league stage of the 35th National handball championship for women here at the St. Thomas Girls School complex on Tuesday. Both Railway and Kerala continued to dominate in the respective groups and maintained an all-win record netting eight points from four wins each. The other fancied teams like Punjab, Chhattisgarh and Manipur also tallied eight points each in the two other groups confirming a berth in the last-eight stage. The quarterfinals and the semifinals will be held on Friday while the final comes up on Saturday. The results: Group A: Railways 18 bt Jammu & Kashmir 0; Haryana 14 bt Chandigarh 3; Karnataka 11 bt J&K 6; Railways 23 bt Haryana 5. Group B: Himachal Pradesh 11 bt Orissa 6; Maharashtra 24 bt Bengal 7; Maharashtra 15 bt Orissa 4; Kerala 15 bt HP 1. Group C: Delhi 13 bt Assam 10; Andhra Pradesh 15 bt Nagaland 1; Assam 12 bt AP 5; Delhi 21 bt Nagaland 2.
