Protest in Assam

Guwahati: The Assam unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) joined the countrywide protest against the hanging of the former Iraqi President, Saddam Hussain. Party activists took out a protest march under the aegis of the Kamrup (Metropolitan) district unit. Theyalso burnt an effigy of George W. Bush.
