MYSORE: Excelsoft Technologies, a leading e-learning solutions provider, is expanding its development facility in Mysore to accommodate an additional 200 software developers by the end of the current fiscal, besides setting up an e-learning competency centre on a recently acquired land.

According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), D. Sudhanva, the existing development facility at present houses about 300 people.

Excelsoft Technologies' clientele include Pearson Education in the U.S. and Guardian Education in the U.K.

The competency centre would strive to achieve excellence in standards compliance, technical architecture and design, testing and validation, training, consulting and advisory services, he said. It will house a "Demonstration and proof-of-concept centre" for all its products and services.

Apart from servicing overseas customers, Excelsoft is actively engaged in supporting Indian Universities in their efforts in technology-enabled education. It is already engaged with Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU) in providing e-learning and test and assessment platforms, and e-learning courseware development services.

The company has development centres in Mysore and Hyderabad, and a sales and support operation in the U.K. via its subsidiary company. It has partners in several other countries, including the UAE, Singapore, and the U.S.
