Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The Jayanagar-based Nrityakalamandiram will stage Bharatanatyam, Kathakali and Mohiniattam performances on five Saturdays, starting from December 30, to mark the close of its silver jubilee celebrations.

Krishna Murthy, a patron of Nrityakalamandiram Trust, told presspersons here on Thursday that the dance performances, "Bangar Fest", would be held at JSS Auditorium at 7th Block, Jayanagar.

He said it would be the first time that dancers from other States would also feature at the shows organised by Nrityakalamandiram, run by dancer and choreographer B. Banumathi. On December 30, Dr. Neena Prasad of Thiruvananthapuram would perform Mohiniattam, and Sheela Chandrashekar and Snehasri would perform Bharatanatyam.
