Borewell for school soon

PUDUKKOTTAI: The high school in Sammattividuthy in the district will soon have a borewell.

The Rotary Community Corps (RCC) of Rotary Club of Pudukkottai has adopted the village to carry out welfare schemes.

At a function here, the Rotary Governor, RI Dt 3,000, Manickam Rajasekaran, handed over the adoption certificate to the panchayat president, P. Ramakrishnan.

The Union Minister of State for Home, S. Regupathi, inaugurated a live stock medical camp sponsored by New India Assurance Company.

A three-day entrepreneurship development programme by the Rural Entrepreneurship and Education Trust was also inaugurated by the Minister. The Manager, Indian Bank, S.P. Muthu, the Manager of New India Assurance Co., K. Soundarrajan, the A.D., Animal Husbandry, K. Ramakrishnan, the District Secretary, RI 3,000, Vishwa Narayanan, the former MP, Rajaparamasivam, the RCC Director, S.P. Senthil, and the RCC Co-ordinator, R. Saravanan, were present.
