SBI Amendment Bill introduced

NEW DELHI: The Union Government on Monday introduced in the Lok Sabha State Bank of India (Amendment) Bill, 2006, to enhance the authorised capital of the bank to Rs. 5,000 crore and enable the Reserve Bank of India to reduce its holding to 51 per cent in the bank by issuing fresh shares.
