PUDUCHERRY: Students of Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School were taken on a visit to Anbu Illam, a home for destitutes, run by the Missionaries of Charity. They also visited the Arul Ashram at Kalapet. The students distributed towels and napkins to the inmates. They entertained them with a mimicry performance, skits and games. A. Swarnalatha, studying in the XI Standard of St.Joseph of Cluny School, participated in the Regional Science Exhibition conducted by the Directorate of School Education at Annai Sivagami Girls Hr. Sec. School recently. Petit Seminaire students, E. Sitharth of IX standard and M. Sourender and M. Suraj of X standard, were selected to represent Puducherry at a national level competition in basketball. They will participate at the 52nd National School Games 2006 at Model Town (New Delhi) from 23rd to 28th December, 2006. In the Handball tournament, in connection with the Games, Mani Murugan of XII standard and Godwin Jayaprakash of X standard will represent Puducherry at the national Level. Petit Seminaire Principal S. Antonisamy congratulated them and wished them all success in the national competition to be held at New Delhi.
