Job fairs ahead in city

CHENNAI : Job-hunters, brush up your resumes as the city is all set to stage two career fairs over the next few days.

Allsec Technologies, a BPO enterprise, launches its comprehensive recruitment drive as a four-day event starting on Friday.

Organised at Allsec's Velachery centre, the fair is scheduled from December 8 to 11 between 6 a.m and 10 p.m. and is open to professionals and freshers.

The firm is looking for graduates or diploma-holders between 18 and 32 years willing to work on night shifts and having communication skills.

Special counters will assess freshers.

As an incentive, job-hunters can bring along a friend to the fair and win two tickets to the film `Casino Royale' at Sathyam Cinemas if both are able to clear the first round together.

Those, who are unable to turn up for the fair, can call the toll-free line on 18004255732.

Next in line is a seven-day job fair organised by Bajaj Allianze General Insurance, which holds its event from December 11 to 17 at Mailerjobs Centre, 132 C, Nelson Manickam Road, Chennai-29.

Aspirants are required to mail to sathish@mailerjobs.com and mention the code BAJE/01 for trainee and BAJE/02 for senior executive positions in the email subject. They could also walk in during the event between 9.30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Positions are open in Chennai, Bangalore, Mangalore, Hubli, Mysore, Madurai, Coimbatore, Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi for retail and corporate marketing divisions.

APTECH fair

These fairs come close on the heels of an APTECH one-day fair on Wednesday which attracted a large number of freshers and experienced candidates.

The response has encouraged the firm to make similar fairs a regular fixture.

The companies that participated in the event included ABN Amro, Scientific Publishing Solutions, EFX-Prasad Corp (animation), Lion Bridge and Krish Infotech (multimedia).
