It's music to the ears, verily

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Eastern Naval Command (ENC) Band gave a special musical performance at St. Joseph's Old Age Home here on Wednesday.

The 50 skilled musician sailors of the band entertained the inmates and staff of the home with a variety of music.

Old time favourites like `Glorious Victory' and certain popular western songs were played. The Telugu film song `Cheliya Cheliya' as well as a few Christmas carols, including `Silent Nights' and `Mary's Boy Child', were the highlights of the performance. Master Chief Petty Officer V. Guruswamy and Chief Petty Officer V.J. Paulson also played a few numbers.

Shoba Deshpande, wife of Rear Admiral Dilip Deshpande, Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard, was the chief guest for the occasion. Members of Naval Wives' Welfare Association were present. Provisions contributed by various establishments of the ENC were donated.
