CHENNAI: The State Government has decided to provide 5 per cent ex gratia for employees of the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC) in addition to the 8.33 per cent bonus and 1.67 per cent ex gratia announced on October 17. A release here said on Thursday that the hike announced by the Chief Minister would benefit 30, 945 TASMAC employees of the C and D category including casual workers. It would cost an additional expenditure of Rs.3,84,14,700 to the Government. State president of the Tamil Nadu TASMAC Employees Union P.S.Soundarapandian thanked the Chief Minister for the decision to increase the ex gratia.
