Solatium to accident victims

Food Minister personally hands over Rs. 50,000

Hosur: The Minister for Food, E.V. Velu, disbursed solatium under the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to the next of kin of victims who died in an accident at Kathiripallam 70 km from here on Sunday. The Minister personally visited the families of victims at Aiyur and Betamugilalam villages on Monday and disbursed cheque of Rs. 50,000 to the family member of each victim.

He also visited the SPARSH Trauma Care Centre near Athipalli on the Karnataka border and disbursed Rs.15,000 to each injured. He visited the in-patient ward, Intensive Care Unit and General Ward and interacted with the patients. Collector, Santhosh Babu was present.
