Militants kill an engineer, hang a student
Srinagar:
An engineer and a student of Kashmir University were among five persons killed in separate incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Tuesday.
Bashir Ahmad Tantray, a junior engineer in the electric department, was called out of his house by militants at Mamoosa in the Pattan area of Baramulla district and shot dead, a police spokesman said.
The reason for killing of Tantray was not immediately known.
In another incident, militants hanged a postgraduate student of Kashmir University, Mohammad Yousuf Dar, in the Awantipora area of Pulwama district on Monday, he said. PTI
