TIRUCHI: The Association of Managements and Principals of Matriculation Schools in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry has resolved to meet the Chief Minister, M. Karunanidhi, and Ministers, seeking their intervention to reduce the enhanced Motor Vehicle tax for school vehicles. The executive committee meeting of the association, held here on Sunday, also adopted a resolution deciding to take steps to obtain an interim injunction against the collection of motor vehicle tax with retrospective effect. The association, through another resolution, welcomed the move to scrap the common entrance test for admission to professional courses.
