KOCHI : Kerala Hotel and Restaurant Association has decided not to use plastic carry bags and cups in hotels functioning in areas coming under the City Corporation. A notice board highlighting the theme of `no plastic' will be exhibited in front of the hotels. The association will encourage hotel owners to use paper bags. Association representatives said in a communication that they were ready to install biogas plants for treatment of solid waste once the Corporation provided land and subsidy for the project.
