BATATHON! Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy greets the record-holders on Friday.
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy announced a cash award of Rs.1 lakh each to the two young cricketers -- Boddepalli Manoj Kumar and Mohammed Shaibaaz Tumbi -- who set a world record by putting on an unbroken partnership of 721 runs for the first wicket for St. Peter's High School against St.Phillips High School in an Inter-schools (under-13) cricket tournament on Thursday, according to a press release here. Dr. Reddy, in a message, congratulated the two cricketers and wished them to win many more laurels for the country.
