Colloquium on draft Bill on broadcasting

Children's fete

KOCHI: The Palarivattom branch of the YMCA, in association with the Indian Academy of Paediatrics, will organise a children's fete on November 18. Elocution competition

KOCHI: The Ernakulam unit of Beauty Without Cruelty, an organisation campaigning for animal rights, will conduct an elocution competition for schoolchildren from Classes VIII to XII at the International Books Exhibition, Siva temple grounds, on December 2. The subject will be `Compassion to animals - why and how?' Schools can register the names of the participants, says a release. — Staff Reporter

World Diabetes Day

KOCHI: Governor R.L. Bhatia will inaugurate a meeting at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences on Tuesday on the occasion of World Diabetes Day. The institute is organising a medical exhibition to generate awareness of diabetes. — Staff Reporter
