`Primary aim of Ayurveda should not be forgotten'

KOCHI: The primary aim of Ayurveda is to bring life in harmony with nature. This should not be forgotten while showcasing Ayurveda as an attraction to tourists, said B. Gireesh, the newly elected general secretary of the Kerala Ayurveda Mandalam.

He was speaking at the State conference of the Mandalam here. Many compounds used for treatment in several spas and Ayurveda centres attached to resorts and hotels were sourced from units without proper licence or certification.

Such practices tarnished the age-old system of treatment, he said.

Madhavan Kutty Warrier, the newly elected president, spoke.
