Joginder hits another century

North Zone calls the shots on day two, piles up huge total in the first innings

Guwahati: North made 504 in its first innings and picked up two East wickets to take control of the Group B Duleep Trophy match at the Nehru Stadium here on Sunday.

In reply to North's huge total, built around Joginder Sharma's 122, East was tottering at 22 for two at close on the second day. Skipper Sourav Ganguly (10) and Abhisekh Jhunjhunwala (six) were at the crease.

Joginder's second consecutive Duleep Trophy hundred was the highlight of the day.
