Girish Koushik to be felicitated

MYSORE: Girish Koushik, who arrived here to a warm welcome on Wednesday after winning the World Under 10 Chess title in Georgia, will be felicitated at Bhoothale Ground in Vidyaranyapuram on November 14.

Girish Koushik will be among the 10 other children to be felicitated by Ramshri Charitable Trust on the occasion of Children's Day. Former MLA A. Ramdas disclosed this here on Thursday. Apart from the felicitation, the trust will distribute school uniforms to 8,000 children to mark the occasion. Girish Koushik, his father Arun Koushik and mother Lakshmi Arun were present. Based on his achievement, Girish Koushik has won a free entry to the Commonwealth Chess Championship.
