MANNANAM: St. Joseph's HSS, Pulinkunnam, scored a 39-19 win over Mar Thoma HSS, Kurianoor, and entered the semifinals of the St. Ephrem's Trophy all-India inter-school basketball tournament.

The results: Boys: Quarterfinals: St. Joseph's HSS 39 (V. Kevin 14) bt Mar Thoma HSS 19; St. Ephrem's 39 (Saji Mathew 14) bt KE HSS 13. (Pre-quarterfinals): MSP HSS, Dindigul 49 (Jegan Raj 14) bt St. Anne's HSS, Kurianad 14.
