It's not often that a horde of Ministers attend a Bharatanatya `arangetram'. But then, Dayalini Vivek alias Abhinaya is no ordinary girl. Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi is her great grandfather and M.K. Alagiri is her grandfather.

So, late last week, Mr. Karunanidhi, his wife, Dayalu Ammal, and a host of Ministers including Arcot N. Veerasamy and M.K. Stalin were present when little Abhinaya went about her first full stage performance. Everyone had a word of praise for the girl, who was trained by Nalini Balakrishnan at the Bala Abhirami Bharatanatya Academy. Daughter of Anjugaselvi and Vivek, Abhinaya enjoys dancing and had taken to the dance very early, according to the family.
