Manolya case: court declines to vacate stay

Legal Correspondent

HYDERABAD: A Division Bench of the High Court comprising Justice T. Meena Kumari and Justice Lakshmana Reddy on Monday declined to vacate the conditional stay earlier granted in favour of erstwhile Nizam in the matter of payment of maintenance to his former wife Manolya. It may be recalled that the Bench had granted stay over further proceedings in the maintenance matter on the condition that the Nizam deposits Rs. 2 crores.

The Family Court had granted maintenance to Manolya and their daughter. On Monday, the petition filed by Manolya seeking stay of the interim order notification, came up for hearing. The Bench declined to interfere with the earlier orders and posted the matter for final hearing.
