Husband to pay allowance commensurate with children's fees

NEW DELHI: Taking note of the ever-rising expenses in children's higher education, the Delhi High Court has ordered a proportionate increase in the maintenance allowance of a woman in a matrimonial dispute case. Justice S Ravinder Bhat ordered a Delhi-based hotelier Mukesh Kumar to pay Rs.7,000 towards the study of his two children instead of present allowance of Rs. 300.

``Mukesh Kumar seems to be well off and managing a profitable business but has not shared the responsibilities of raising the children, ,'' Justice Bhat observed .- PTI
