Cancel illegal land registration: BJP

HYDERABAD: Bandaru Dattatreya, national BJP secretary, has expressed surprise over the reported registration of more than 14,000 acres of land in four villages of Manchal mandal in Ranga Reddy district, which were bought from small farmers.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Mr. Dattatreya wondered how the Registration Department officials could justify their action. He demanded cancellation of the registrations, restoration of lands to the poor and wanted the case to be referred to the CBI for enquiry.
