Hansda wins gold
The 17-year-old India No. 1 from Tata Archery Academy (Jamshedpur) defeated the United States' Paul Tedford 113-112. Two more Indians Prabhat Kandir in the recurve junior men and Pranitha Vardhineni in the recurve cadet women also earned individual silver medals. Kandir, a member of the silver medal winning Indian team in the last worlds at England in 2004, lost the gold medal to Romain Girouille of France 101-107. Pranitha was beaten by Jane Waller of Australia 100-114.
