DMK-led alliance wins Tirupur Municipality

Tirupur: DMK-led alliance captured the Tirupur Municipal council by winning 28 out of 52 wards. While the AIADMK won 17 wards its ally the MDMK secured 5.

Former MLA C. Sivasamy, former Municipal chairman and town DMK secretary K. Selvaraj and State secretariat member of CPI(M) K. Thangavel are the prominent winners.
