Houses burgled

Bangalore: Burglars struck at two houses in Tilaknagar and Basaveshwaranagar police station limits on Tuesday and made away with Rs. 10,000 in cash and gold ornaments estimated at Rs. 2.30 lakh.

The police said the thieves looted gold jewellery estimated at Rs. 1.30 lakh from businessman Nazeer Ahmed's house in SRK Garden. In the other incident, thieves entered software engineer Diwakar's house by cutting the window grills of the kitchen and stole Rs. 10,000 in cash and jewellery estimated at Rs. 1 lakh.
