Corrections and clarifications

The caption of the accompanying AP photograph in "India, U.K. joint air exercises in Gwalior" (October 14, 2006) was: "Air Power: A Tornado F3 (right) of the Royal Air Force and an Indian Air Force MiG 27 ML during a joint exercise in Gwalior on Friday." Many readers have pointed out that the IAF aircraft was a Mirage 2000.

The sentence in "A new year gift for laptop users in Bangalore?" (October 14, 2006) was: "With the seamless laptop connectivity using WYMAX technology, the software engineers can begin their day's work right in their car or a bus." As a reader points out, it should have been WIMAX or Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access, a technology to allow devices to form wireless connections to permit the carrying of internet packet data.
