SCR to conduct vintage car rally today

HYDERABAD: A vintage car rally will be organised from Rail Nilayam here on Sunday as part of the ongoing South Central Railway Ruby Jubilee celebration.

The rally will be flagged off at 10.30 a.m. by Chief Secretary J. Harinarayana and would cover Tank Bund, Buddha Purnima, Necklace Road.

More than 30 cars from the vintage era still being maintained perfectly will participate in the rally being held in association with the Heritage Car Club of Andhra Pradesh. The highlight of the rally is a vintage model that can be run both on roads as well as rails. A Nizam fire tender belonging to the Nizam's State Railway and now in National Rail Museum has been brought from New Delhi for the rally, according to a release.
