Somnath enquires about Velu's health

NEW DELHI: Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee on Saturday called up Minister of State for Railways R. Velu and enquired about his health after he was hurt in a road accident in Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Chatterjee, who was on his way to Geneva, Switzerland, called up the Minister from London, the Speaker's office said here. Mr. Chatterjee is leading a Parliamentary delegation to attend the 115th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

The delegation includes Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman K. Rahman Khan, Mohammed Salim, V. Kishore Chandra Deo, Tapir Gao, Surendra Lath, Archana Nayak (all MPs).
