Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has decided to draft the services of seven Ministers, three MPs and of 29 MLAs, to steer its campaign in the upcoming Karimnagar Lok Sabha bypoll. APCC chief K.Keshava Rao made a preliminary review of the political situation in Karimnagar following the resignation of Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K.Chandrasekhara Rao recently, which had forced the by-election. The meeting attended by senior leaders and MLAs of the district, except T.Jeevan Reddy who is down with fever, decided to hold a convention of the members of its frontal organisations in the district soon. It also considered shaping its campaign around the slogan "separate Telangana possible only under Congress rule." The meeting, attended by Political Advisor of the Chief Minister K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao, decided to leave no stone unturned in ensuring the Congress victory. MPs, Sarve Satyanarayana, Nandi Yellaiah and D. Vittal Rao and Ministers, Sabitha Indra Reddy, D.Srinivas, Mohd.Ali Shabbir, D.S. Redya Naik, P.Lakshmaiah, G.Vinod and M.Satyanarayana Rao, would be in charge of the campaign while the MLAs will be in charge of the 29 mandals.
