Jayaprada dreams of playing Kannagi

CHENNAI: Actor and Member of Parliament Jayaprada wants to play the role of Kannagi in a Tamil film.

Recently, she approached Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi seeking his help and best wishes for the endeavour.

"I have requested him to help me financially [to make the movie], and guide me in making the movie of Kannagi.

I also told him that it is my cherished dream to act in the title role of the film as `Kannagi'," Ms. Jayaprada said.
